How To Make Sugar Art?

Making a Sugar Syrup
1.  Place 1 lb. 10 oz. of sugar and 8 oz. of water into a pot, and stir over low heat until the sugar is completely dissolved.

2.   Bring the sugar water to a boil, and use a ladle to begin removing the foam that forms. Place the foam into a heat-resistant bowl.

3.  Brush down any crystals that form on the sides of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in water. Continue to keep the syrup boiling during this process.

4.   Continue ladling foam and brushing down crystals three or four times until the syrup remains clear.

5.   Place a candy thermometer in the syrup. Stir in corn syrup and cream of tartar to the syrup when the temperature reaches 230 degrees F.

6.   Turn the burner to high, and stop stirring. Keep the thermometer in the pot.

7.   Boil the syrup until the temperature reaches 300 degrees F.

8.   Remove the pot from the burner, and cool the syrup by placing the pot into a larger pot of cold water for 30 seconds.

9.   Pour the syrup onto a silicon mat, and let it cool for 5 seconds.

Forming the Sugar
1.   Begin folding the sugar using a spatula by bringing the outer edges of the sugar to the inside again and again until the sugar is cooled enough to handle by hand.

2.   Candy canes are also formed by pulling and stretching cooked sugar.

3.   Begin pulling and folding by hand. Hold the sugar with one hand while stretching and folding with the other.

4.    Fold and pull about 15 to 20 times until the sugar becomes glossy and smooth.

5.   Cut off a small amount of sugar to form, and place the remaining sugar under a heat lamp to stay warm.

6.   Form rose petals. For the centre of your rose, flatten a small daub of sugar with your fingers and roll it into a cone.

7.   Repeat cutting or pulling off small bits of sugar and flattening them. Attach these pieces around the rose cone to form petals. Continue until your rose is completed.

8.   Place the rose on a sheet of wax paper to harden completely.

Types of Sugar Work

Pulled Sugar
The sugar has been cooked; the now-liquid sugar is poured onto a silicone rubber mat (e.g., Silpat). Any colouring is now added. The sugar is then folded repeatedly into itself, until the sugar is, while still flexible, cool enough to handle. The sugar is then stretched out and then folded on itself repeatedly. This process incorporates air into the sugar, and gives it bright lustre sheen. The sugar can then be sculpted by hand into various shapes, made into ribbons, or blown.
Blown Sugar
In blown sugar, a portion of pulled sugar is placed on a rubber pump which is tipped with either wood or metal. Pumps are most commonly hand pumps. While being blown, the sugar can be shaped, often into animals or flowers. Blown sugar cannot be quickly cooled by dipping it in water, so chefs must use fans to cool the sugar, all the while rotating it, so that it does not come out of shape. This technique is very useful in making balloons for wedding cakes.
Cast Sugar
In this technique, sugar is poured into moulds. This technique produces more sturdy pieces than pulled and blown sugar, and is almost always used for the base and structural elements of showpieces. Cast sugar can also be used in many recipes such as a simplicity called cake.
Pastillage
A thick sugar paste, similar to gum paste, is moulded into shapes. When dried, it is hard and brittle. Made with gelatine, water and confectioner's sugar, it hardens quickly and can be shaped for a short while by hand, and after hardening, with electric grinders, cutters, sandpaper and assorted files. Some recipes will contain an acid in the ingredients list, such as vinegar or cream of tartar.
Pressed Sugar
Granulated sugar is mixed with a minimal amount of water, and is put under pressure. It hardens into a solid piece. Though this is used for showpiece bases, it is less often used because of the time required to produce it, and its lesser aesthetic value.
Rock Sugar
The liquid sugar is blended with a small amount of royal icing. The heat from the sugar causes the air incorporated in the icing to rapidly expand, causing the mixture to grow to several times its original volume. The mixture is quickly poured into a lined dish, and placed into a blast chiller to set. This process produces a sugar mass with the texture of volcanic pumice, the colour of which is determined by the colour of the sugar syrup.
Spun Sugar
Sugar syrup is made into long extremely thin strands which can be shaped to make things like birds’ nests. The sugar is gathered on a fork or a special tool designed for spinning sugar and is flicked in long strokes over succeeding pipes.

Sugar Work!

Sugar sculpture is the art of producing artistic centerpieces entirely composed of sugar and sugar derivatives. There are many competitions that include sugar sculpture, and popular television networks, such as Food Network, televise many of these events.
Sugar showpieces can be composed of several different types of sugar elements. All begin with cooking sugar, and possibly an acidic agent and/or non-sucrose sugar product to avoid unwanted crystallization, to the hard crack stage, around 300 °F (149 °C).
When all components are completed, they are welded together using a gas torch. The sugar is melted, and then joined together.

Types of Chocolate

Chocolate and cocoa are derived from cocoa or cacao beans. When the beans are fermented, roasted, and ground, the resulting product is called chocolate liquor, which contains a white or yellowish fat called cocoa butter.
Cocoa
Cocoa is the dry powder that remains after part of the cocoa butter is removed from chocolate liquor. Dutch process cocoa, or dutched cocoa, is processed with an alkali. It is slightly darker, smoother in flavour, and more easily dissolved in liquids than is natural cocoa.
Natural cocoa is somewhat acidic. When it is used in such products as cakes, it is possible to use baking soda (which reacts with acid) as part of the leavening power.
Dutched cocoa, on the other hand, is generally neutral or even slightly alkaline. Therefore, it does not react with baking soda. Instead, baking powder is used as the sole leavening agent. If you are substituting dutched for natural cocoa, you must increase the baking powder by 1 ounce for each ½ ounce soda omitted.
If not enough soda is used in chocolate products, the colour of the finished product may range from light tan to dark brown, depending on the quantity used. If too much is used, the colour will be reddish brown. This colour is desired in devil’s food cakes but it may not want in other products. When switching from one kind of cocoa to another, you may have to adjust the soda in your recipes.
Unsweetened or Bitter Chocolate
Unsweetened chocolate is straight chocolate liquor. It contains no sugar and has strongly bitter taste. Because it is molded in blocks, it is also referred to as block cocoa or cocoa block. It is used to flavour items that have other sources of sweetness.
Unsweetened chocolate is also known as bitter chocolate. Do not confuse this product with bittersweet chocolate, which category of sweetened chocolate with low sugar content.
Sweet Chocolate
Sweet chocolate is bitter chocolate with the addition of sugar and cocoa butter in various proportions. If the percentage of sugar is low, sweetened chocolate may be called semisweet or, with even less sugar, bittersweet. Both of these products must contain at least 35% chocolate liquor, and their sugar content ranges from 35 to 50%. A product labelled sweet chocolate may contain as little as 15% chocolate liquor.
Because sweet chocolate has only half the chocolate content of bitter chocolate, it is usually not economical to add it to products that are already highly sweetened because twice as much will be needed.
Good quality chocolate products – including not only dark chocolate but also milk chocolate and white chocolate – are often called couverture, which means “coating” in French. When couverture is used to coat candies, cookies, and other products, the chocolate must be prepared by a process called tempering.
Milk Chocolate
Milk chocolate is sweet chocolate to which milk solids have been added. It is usually used as a coating chocolate and in various confections. It is seldom melted and then incorporated in batters because it contains a relatively low proportion of chocolate liquor.
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter is the fat pressed out of chocolate liquor when cocoa is processed. Its main use in the bakeshop is to thin melted couverture to a proper consistency.
White Chocolate
White chocolate consists of cocoa butter, sugar, and milk solids. It is used primarily in confectionary. Technically, it should not be called chocolate, because it contains no cocoa solids. However, the name white chocolate is in common use.

The Fault In Our Chocolate

Seizing
Understanding & preventing seizing will eliminate potential catastrophic results.
When moisture/liquid gets in chocolate, it's like oil & water - they don't mix. A drop or two of liquid can cause chocolate to seize (form hard lumps) and become unworkable for dipping.
Always pat wet fruits dry before dipping and always keep tools and utensils dry. I am aware of very experienced chefs ruining a large batch of chocolate by melting in a double boiler and then pouring the melted chocolate directly into the base of a chocolate fountain, without first drying the water from the outside of the double boiler pan. When they pour the chocolate, water drips from the outside of the pan into the chocolate, creating a disaster. Similarly, dipping wet fruit items can result in the chocolate seizing.
Seizing is also caused by overheating the chocolate. Proper melting is done slowly at low temperatures as chocolate is extremely sensitive to rapid temperature changes, such as melting under high or direct heat. Chocolate will melt at around 88°F and will burn at around 125°F (for dark & milk chocolate) and around 120°F for white, so don't be in a hurry to melt it. It's very easy to scorch/burn chocolate - especially white.
Be very careful when melting chocolate - one small burn can cause the entire batch to seize or simply taste and smell awful.
Blooming
Dampness & condensation results in "sugar bloom" - you'll see grains of sugar on the surface of the chocolate.
Excessive heat or cold results in "fat bloom" - you'll see a whitish or gray color on the chocolate.
Blooming (especially "fat bloom") is probably the biggest issue most people have with chocolate. If you haven't melted the chocolate yet and it has bloomed, the final taste will not be affected because when the chocolate is melted, the cocoa butter will be redistributed throughout the chocolate. Fat bloom is simply the cocoa butter separating from the cocoa solids and coming to the surface. Working at proper temperatures and proper storage will prevent blooming.
Storing Chocolate
Before and after it's been melted...store between 55-70°F, ideally with less than 50% humidity. DO NOT refrigerate before or after melting. ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FREEZE! Remember, dampness & condensation results in "sugar bloom" and excessive heat or cold results in "fat bloom."
Odour Absorption
Chocolate absorbs odours. To prevent this from happening do not use a wooden spatula when working with chocolate. It is also important to store your chocolate away from items with strong smells, or your chocolate may begin to smell (and taste) like them!

HOW TO MELT CHOCOLATE TO AVOID PROBLEMS
1) Use only DRY utensils.
2) Don't stir chocolate with a wooden or metal spoon. Use only rubber spatulas that have not been exposed to strong flavours such as tomato sauce or garlic.
3) Stir the chocolate slowly & gently, keeping movement to a minimum.

4) The correct temperature coaxes the very best out of chocolate and prevents issues. Make sure to check the correct melting temperatures for the items you've purchased (they will be included with the directions). Make sure to completely wipe the bottom of the pot before pouring the chocolate, whether into a chocolate fountain, fondue pot, or when making candy.

How Chocolate Is Made?

The journey from cocoa tree to chocolate bar is not complex, but it requires several steps, each of which requires careful treatment to get the best from the finished product.
Artisan chocolate makers often deal directly with cocoa farmer cooperatives, giving them a say in how the beans are treated from the moment they’re harvested and ensuring the best possible price for cocoa farmers in some of the world’s poorest regions.
Harvesting
The process begins with harvesting. Ripe cocoa pods are harvested twice a year. The harvest times vary from region to region, but the process of turning it into chocolate begins immediately.
The pods are cut open with machetes and the white pulp containing the cocoa beans is scooped out.
Fermenting
The pods and pulp are placed into large wooden containers, where the pulp is allowed to ferment for five to seven days. During the process, the beans are turned to help them ferment more evenly. This is the first stage in developing the flavour of the chocolate, and part of the reason why a farmer can have a direct impact on the quality of the finished chocolate.
Drying
After fermentation, the next step in the process is to dry the beans. This is usually done by spreading them out into a single layer in the sun. Most beans are transferred into sacks and transported around the world after drying, so in order to prevent mold, it’s important that they’re completely dry at this point.
Roasting
The next step in the process is roasting. This is done by the chocolate maker rather than the farmer. A few chocolate companies make their chocolate at source where it grows, but the hot climate required to grow cocoa makes the chocolate making process more challenging. Most chocolate is made in cooler climates, like Europe or North America.
The process and equipment used to roast the beans vary considerably from chocolate maker to chocolate maker. Some use standard ovens, others have specially made systems designed to rotate the beans and roast as evenly and accurately as possible.
The exact temperature and roast time are part of the chocolate maker’s (often secret) recipe, and will have been worked out with careful experimentation and lots of tasting!
Cracking & Winnowing
The roasted cocoa beans have a thin, papery shell around them which needs to be removed, so at this point in the process, the beans are cracked open and the shell is removed in a process called winnowing. The lighter shells are blown away with fans, leaving behind pieces of pure cocoa bean, known as “nibs”.
Grinding & Conching
The cocoa nibs are ground with stone rollers until they become a paste known as cocoa mass or cocoa liquor. This pure, unrefined form of chocolate contains both cocoa solids (the chocolatey part!) and cocoa butter (the natural fat present in the bean).
Cocoa butter can be extracted from the cocoa mass with a hydraulic press. This is useful because most chocolate makers often use extra cocoa butter to give their chocolate a smoother, glossier texture. Some confectionery manufacturers replace this extra cocoa butter with cheaper vegetable fats, and this is something you should look out for on the ingredients and try to avoid. The only fat in real chocolate is cocoa butter.
Traditionally, the cocoa mass is be transferred to a separate machine called a conch, where it is further refined. Many modern artisans combine the grinding and conching into a single process using a machine called a melanger. This is simply a large metal cylinder with two rotating granite wheels that grind and refine the chocolate into very small particles.
It’s during this process that sugar, milk powder (for milk chocolate) and other flavourings are added to the chocolate.
The conching process can take anything from a few hours to a few days and affects the chemical structure of the chocolate, as well as the particle size. This part of the process has a very big impact on the flavour notes in the finished chocolate, and deciding exactly how long to conch for is part of the chocolate maker’s skill.
Tempering
Great chocolate should have a shiny finish and a good “snap” – that clean clicking sound when you break a piece off. These are created by tempering, the controlled process of raising, lowering and raising the temperature of the chocolate to form exactly the right kind of crystals.
If you were to let the untemper chocolate cool naturally, the chocolate would be soft and crumbly and would not melt evenly on the tongue.
Tempering can be done by hand, but the process would be enormously time consuming for the large amounts of chocolate that bar manufacturers have to work with, so most use tempering machines that can heat large quantities of chocolate very accurately.
The tempering machine will keep the melted chocolate circulating at exactly the right temperature, making the final step easier.
Moulding
The final step in making a finished chocolate bar is pouring it into a mould. The melted chocolate is simply poured into plastic bar-shaped moulds and agitated to remove any air bubbles. Larger chocolate makers will have machines and conveyors that deposit exactly the right amount of chocolate into each mould, but many smaller manufacturers still do this part by hand.

Once cooled, the chocolate is wrapped and ready to go!

History of Chocolate

The cacao tree originated in the western hemisphere, where it grows in tropical climates from northern South America to southern Mexico. Long before the European discovery of the Americas, native peoples, including the Mayas and Aztecs, brewed a bitter, unsweetened beverage from the beans, which they had learned to ferment and dry. The beverages, probably enjoyed hot, were often flavoured with chiles, vanilla, and other ingredients.
Because the cacao tree grew in limited areas, the pods were prized and became objects of trade. They were even used for currency. In addition, they were important in religious ceremonies.
Spanish conquerors at first disliked the bitter, black beverage the natives brewed from cacao, but they soon learned to appreciate it and began carrying cocoa beans back to Europe in the 1500s. Availability was limited at first, but by 1700 cocoa had spread through much of Europe. Its use was still mostly as a beverage, although Europeans found they enjoyed the drink more when it was sweetened. Cocoa was also used as a medicine and as a cooking spice.
In the early 1800s, a Dutchman named van Houten developed a process for removing much of the cocoa butter from raw cocoa, using a powerful press. He also discovered that processing the cocoa with an alkali yielded a milder product with a darker colour. This “dutching” process is still used today for some cocoa.
Van Houten’s inventions enabled the development of modern chocolate manufacturing and the use of chocolate for confections and not just as a beverage. Manufacturers discovered that by adding cocoa butter back to ground cocoa, they could make a smooth paste that hardened into blocks. In 1842, the Cadbury brothers began selling block chocolate in England.
In the 1880s, the Swiss Rudolphe Lindt invented the conching process (described in the text) to make a smoother product. Around the same time, another Swiss, Daniel Peter, created milk chocolate by adding dried milk to the paste. (Dried milk had been invented by Henri Nestlé).

First Blog Assignment

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! Fuhh! It's been awhile since my last post. Well I guess that's just me - lazy ass blogger! But I still like to write tho. Just not on my blog (this is definitely a LIE! cause I never like to write + bad handwriting).

I've been very busy this first 6 months of 2015. So many occasions so little time. I've graduated by the way! Yeah that's the very best part of my 2015. Would like to talk more about it but that's just not my main purpose of writing this entry. Let's talk business!

So here's the thing. I have this one good looking, charming, and sweet lecturer (we called him Chef cause he's a Chef) - who is so into "media social" and he asked us to make an online assignment (which is blogging). Oh and his name is Azli Razali (you can find him on Facebook and Instagram!). He is a celebrity chef (how cool is that?!) and he is coming to your "kaca televisyen" during this Ramadhan for his cooking show. Please do watch because he is definitely a great cooker! (Chef mohon bagi saya A+ sebab saya tolong promote).

Anyway back to the topic. So we need to make an entry about the task given to each group (yes this is a group assignment) and just like that BAM! We are done with our assignment (nope we still have to make the report). Because of that, you guys have to show some support by reading my posts (there will be more posts coming) and share it! Spread the knowledge :)

XOXO,
Zha

I Can Never Be The Best

Pernah rasa tak yang kita ni tak cukup bagus untuk orang tu? Pernah rasa tak yang kebaikan kita tu tak cukup baik? Pernah rasa tak yang kita takkan pernah jadi yang terbaik?

To be honest, I rasa benda ni all the time and I don't even understand why. Sometimes I rasa I dah give my best tapi orang takkan pernah nampak. In fact orang selalu cakap yang I don't understand the situation la, I ni saja nak create scene la. Tapi orang tak pernah tanya I nak apa or apa yang I rasa. The best thing about being me kan, I never get bored and tired of everything. Walaupun mulut ni cakap dah serik, but I tetap akan be the same old me yang redha je dengan apa yang orang buat.

I have this one friend. She used to be my good good friend. Tapi out of the blue she just disappear macam tu je. Tak contact, tak cari, buat macam I ni strangers. I tak kisah pasal harta benda. Benda yang boleh settle then kita settle. Tapi tak perlu sampai nak jauhkan diri dari I sampai neglect I as if I ni tak pernah jadi kawan rapat.

I tau some of you akan rasa macam "tak perlu kot nak cerita masalah kat public" tapi I tak kisah. You guys wanna know why? Sebab there is no one yang sebenarnya rela hati nak dengar my problems. I can't share with any of my friends sebab most of my friends cuma cari I bila perlu je. So that is why I prefer let it all out kat sini sebab no one gives a shit about my blog.

I bukan jenis perempuan yang pandai put on make ups, do eyebrows, wear fancy accessories, pakai branded stuffs and high heels or even stylish hijab. I am just me -- village people. To be honest, I memang put so much efforts just to impress my boyfriend. Well orang akan cakap I ni desperate but at least I tak kacau sesiapa except for my boyfriend. I perempuan, I insecure all the time especially bila in a long distance relationship. Tapi tu la, sampai bila bila pun I akan rasa yang I belum cukup baik untuk dia. It's not just him, I think tak cukup baik untuk everyone.

Ugh it is so depressing bila fikir benda macam ni. I kinda hate my life.

The First Kiss ❤️

It all started when I was in 1st semester. New life at a new place hoping to be better and if I could, find myself a girl. I didn't look, I never thought about looking for one. Some just pass by, and some stop by just to teach my heart a lesson.

One of those days during that semester, I joined a club called Persada -- because I like to dance and also with hope to see some hot babes. On one night I saw a hot babe. She was beautiful -- with a body that sway with her burgundy dress and a voice so loud yet sweet it shook my heart. I instantly felt an attraction towards her. The night passed but I did not catch her name and I felt like it would take a while before I could meet her again.

So I did what any 18 year old would do at that time -- I Facebook her. Although sadly I couldn't find her. But life goes on and more pass by and a few touch my heart. As days pass by and finals are coming to a close, I met two gentlemen who acknowledge my skills as a Bboy and acquire the same interest. They took me in and treated me like a brother. They taught me about perseverance, loyalty and most of all friendship.

In my 2nd semester, during one day of our daily routine at the Mechanical Faculty building, 4 girls came by and watch. I was shy at first, and it struck me, "that's her, the girl from the other night". My heart sank as she said hi to me -- and I pulled in my stomach, took a deep breath, look dead cold in her "pretty melt your heart eyes" and said "hey". I continue my routine -- trying to ignore them looking but at the same time trying to impress her.

Although I did not able to charm her heart that day, I caught her name. She had such a pretty name that fits her pretty self. As days goes by, I was able to find her on Facebook. I added her but we didn't talk -- just the usual "thanks for add ya :)". After a while my attraction towards her became stronger like a candle burning brighter and brighter.

Soon we became closer and started talking on a regular basis. But then the candle started to fade as my tears started falling on it as I found out she was not available. My girl at that time was in the hand of another man. And all I could do was put on a smile whenever she pass by.

As semesters pass -- many goodbyes has been spoken and many safe trip wishes has been said, we remain friends and it's undeniable that the candle still has a spark to it. One day during my semester break, I got a text from her. She was looking for me because she was alone in KL and she saw me as a friend that could be there for her. Sadly I couldn't but I promised to look for her back when I return -- and I did.

We started hanging out like any two friends would but one day, on 24th April 2014, my life changed. It was at the movie, Brick Mansion was showing and we decided it would be a good watch since the late Paul Walker was in it. We didn't felt awkward -- we held hands, and her hands felt like it has always held mine. Like it was perfectly made to fit in my hand.

And so the movie started -- she leaned her head on my shoulder, and I could smell her scent. So sweet it made my blood boil. I saw her lips -- pink with a hint of sexy. I couldn't hold it any longer. The candle started glowing brighter -- I wanted to kiss her so bad and so I fondled her neck and peck her cheeks, as she pushes me away.

I pushed my lips nearer to her's, and she held my face, looked into my eyes, and gave me a peck on the lips. Simple enough the candle exploded and I felt something that I never knew I could feel. It's so warm and nice inside. I immediately knew, this girl is something special and I should never let her go.

I choose to love her -- because she's my friend, she's my lover, and most of all, she's my happiness. I love her with all my heart. Without a doubt, she has been in my heart since forever. It just took her touch for my heart to see that all the pain in the past was worth that moment. She's my end and my beginning -- and I wouldn't want anyone else to stay in my heart but her.

Lumrah Hidup

Assalamualaikum and hello bloggers. Hahaha as usual la I memang suka jadi chipsmore dekat blog ni kejap ada kejap hilang. Well nak kata busy tu tak juga cuma tahap kerajinan tu kurang sikit. Maybe it's because walaupun duduk rumah tapi ada commitment yang lain. Okay so what's the story? Let me see... Banyak je nak cerita so I'll just summarize everything and make the long stories short okay?

First of all. Alhamdulillah syukur I have completed my Diploma in Culinary Arts from University of Technology Mara (UiTM) Pulau Pinang. My 3 years journey has successfully ended with clean record. Memang syukur sangat sebab seriously I rasa macam baru je masuk UiTM haritu. Tengok sekarang dah dapat title "graduan". Well dah officially graduated la cuma tak pakai jubah, ambil scroll and baling topi lagi. Yang tu kena tunggu lagi 6 bulan *sigh* but yeah janji diploma dah dalam tangan. As I said on my Facebook my 2 life goals achieved which to make my parents proud and to have a Diploma. But yeah there are more goals yang memang lepas ni kena usaha lebih lagi. And my next goal is to have my Degree. Nak juga ada title "Bachelor in ..." tu kan. Dalam kurungan "Hons". Gitewww. Oh and of course -- KAHWIN!

Anyway. I have this one thing on my mind yang sampai sekarang I can't just figure it out. Tak tau nak cakap macam mana. Kalau cakap direct nanti ada yang terasa pula. But who cares. Rasanya benda ni memang lumrah la kan. So we just have to deal with it. Sometimes I rasa bengang dengan masyarakat kita ni, Bukan nak kata Melayu ni tak bagus but admit it orang Melayu ni memang tak boleh lari dari perasaan dengki, tak puas hati and suka sangat jaga tepi kain orang lain. Tak faham la kenapa dah zaman millennium pun masih wujud orang yang berperangai sebegitu rupa. Ugh. Geram bila fikir balik. I malas nak cerita perkara sebenar and it happens that I'm good at sarcasm so yeah faham sendiri je la. Hahaha. Sometimes people tend to act like they know everything about you. Lepas tu cakap main ikut sedap mulut tak tau cerita sebenar. Paling penting I just don't get it why do you have to bother with people's choices. Tak semua benda yang kita buat kita kena dapatkan permission dari each and every human being kan? Gelabah sangat. I mean come on. Just deal with the fact that I am tremendously happy with my choice. Hidup masing masing so tak payah nak masuk campur and act like you know me better. Tak perlu la sampai nak buka aib orang sebar macam macam kat semua orang and buat orang lain nampak diri kau ditindas. Ugh publisiti murahan sangat. So fuck it!

I really hope this kind of people mendapat hidayah dari Allah untuk menjalani hidup mereka dgn tenang tanpa perlu menjaga tepi kain orang lain. Amin. Anyway I am undoubtedly happy with one of my life choices which is to be Asyraf Kamaruddin's girlfriend. Memang la orang cakap kita kalau bercinta ni jangan taksub sangat. Buat biasa sudah. But yeah. I memang happy dengan dia and that's the kind of happiness that I need in life. Tak taksub but I'm thankful and there is no way I'm gonna lose him. To be honest we do have a lot of arguments especially bila dah duduk jauh ni but I guess that's what makes us stronger. Geram juga dengan dia ni sebab selalu nak menang je tapi it's my fault too (sometimes). Hahaha. Kalau nak compare between us I'm the one yang selalu sangat buat hal. Tapi dia sabar je walaupun sometimes dia hilang sabar juga la. I'm the greatest pain in his ass. I love him. I'm in love with his imperfections. I'm so in love. Tak tau nak cakap macam mana sebab nanti korang yang baca ni mesti annoyed. Hahaha. Sorry. So I guess entri kali ni stop sampai sini. Ada peluang nanti I will update more!

XOXO,
Zha

I Need A Break

Assalamualaikum and hello everyone! Okay sebelum I bercerita dengan lebih lanjut I would like to give my deepest appreciation to those who willing to read my blog. Oh My Tiffany like seriously? Lama dah kot I tak update blog and then bila I update haritu I must say I'm amazed bila ada orang yang private message me tanya I okay ke tak. And then bila tanya kenapa diorang tanya, diorang cakap diorang baca kat blog I. Okay sumpah I terharu sangat especially bila yang baca blog I ni bukanlah orang yang I expect akan baca blog I. OMG OMG thank you guys. I really REALLY appreciate it. I mean blog I ni bukanlah those blogs yang awesome pawsome but you guys willing to spend your time to read it. THANK YOU! Oh and thank you Affan for the picture of an ear you gave me the other day. I appreciate it much. Balik Penang nanti I'm so gonna tell you everything from A to Z!

Okay. So as usual suddenly I feel like updating my blog. Report entah ke mana blog yang I layan dulu. Hahaha. Oh My Gucci kill me already! Sumpah I tak sabar nak end my diploma journey. I nak cepat cepat settle report and finals then balik and cuti for 5 freaking months before sambung degree balik. I mean come on you guys. 3 tahun kot kena hadap all those dramas and books and lectures. Gahh! I seriously need a break. Especially sebab dah 4 bulan lebih duduk kat KL ni. Lifeless gila. Thank God dah habis internship. Tapi dah habis internship nak hadap report la pula. BOSAN! Anyway tak sabar nak balik Sabah. Tak sabar nak balik rumah to be exact. Dekat rumah je la I can feel the pure love. Rasa macam princess sangat bila kat rumah. Hahaha.

Actually I ada banyak plan untuk September ni. Tapi semua plan pun kelaut. Ingatkan lepas settle report and finals nanti nak pergi vacation with classmates tapi diorang semua pun tak take part and tak bersungguh dalam planning ni. So macam tak vacation la cerita dia. And then second plan nak pergi Johor jumpa boyfriend before I balik Sabah for 5 months tu tapi boyfriend tak nak I datang Johor. Dia kata dia nak focus dengan study dia. Nampak sangat I ni macam distraction for him. I datang bukan nak kacau dia pun. I boleh je jaga diri I sendiri. Oh well I guess baik I balik rumah and jaga mak ayah I. I bet diorang akan lagi appreciate kedatangan I. Another plan was nak tunggu boyfriend habis final exam so boleh la jumpa dia lagi before balik Sabah tapi mummy tak bagi. So 5 months without boyfriend? Kill me. Long distance relationship sucks. I hate this.

Yang peliknya boyfriend I macam cool je kalau kitorang tak jumpa. Well to be honest almost everyday I nangis setiap kali scroll my camera roll. Tapi boyfriend I tak. Dia selalu marah marah I. Sometimes I don't get him. I tak tau bila masa yang I boleh manja bila masa tak. I selalu je bagi dia masa especially bila dia nak buat assignment or study or even nak keluar dengan his friends. Tapi bila dengan I je ada je tak kena. Sedih. But I still love him. I doakan yang terbaik untuk relationship kitorang. Wish me luck korang!

Just Another Bad Day

Assalamualaikum. Hello everyone. Okay penulisan kali ini definitely pasal luahan perasaan. Since I have no one. I repeat. NO ONE so I guess lebih baik I luahkan dekat blog. It's not that I wanna share my problems to the world but at least I tak la depressed.

I am mentally, physically and emotionally exhausted.

Sejak datang KL ni lepas satu, satu benda jadi kat I. Nak kata semua bad things tak juga but mostly memang bad la. I guess KL is just not my place. Hujan emas di negeri orang. Hujan batu di negeri sendiri. I rindu Kota Kinabalu. Walaupun dekat sana tak lively macam KL tapi orang Sabah tak rude. Orang Sabah tak suka "honking". Paling penting my true friends and family ada dekat sana. Kawan yang tak pernah tinggalkan I masa susah. Yang sentiasa support I. Yang sentiasa tunggu I balik.

As I said, I am exhausted. Bukan je pasal kerja but also everything. EVERYTHING. Sometimes I just don't understand the people here. Kejap baik kejap tak baik. Dah 4 bulan kat sini macam macam perangai manusia I jumpa. Entah la. Nak kutuk pun kita duduk kat tempat diorang. Tapi one thing for sure they don't have respect for others. Tak semua tapi mostly.

What can you do when your good isn't good enough? I rasa I dah buat yang terbaik tapi masih ada yang tak kena. Tak kisah la dalam my relationship or my working place. To be honest tempat kerja I memang best. I can say I takde problem pun dengan tempat tu. Senang je nak adapt with the environment. Cuma certain people kat situ agak menyakitkan hati. Well. I tak kisah kalau kita nak bergurau. Tapi sometimes kita kena ada limit. Right? Kita tak tau orang tu tengah bad mood ke, tengah sedih ke. So bila nak bergurau tu beragak la. Kita semua penat. Especially keadaan tempat kerja tengah ada crisis. Orang pun buat kerja dalam keadaan serabut. Jadi janganlah buat keadaan jadi lebih teruk.

Then bila kita dah lalui hari buruk since pagi sampai ke petang, kita mesti la nak someone yang boleh dengar keluhan kita. Right? Tapi macam yang I cakap la. I have no one. Tak tau nak kongsi cerita dengan siapa. End up crying alone. Penat okay nak telan rasa sakit tu. I macam hilang hak I sebagai manusia untuk rasa sedih, marah or anything. Tugas I sebagai hamba Allah ni cuma untuk jaga hati dan perasaan orang tapi hati dan perasaan I takde siapa nak jaga. Mungkin Allah ada better plan untuk I. In shaa Allah.

Relationship

Assalamualaikum saudara saudari cikebom cikebom! Okay sebenarnya I is demam you olls tapi ntah kenapa time demam ni pula rasa rajin nak berblogging. Walaupun I demam tapi otak tak tepu lagi la nak story mory. Kalau story mory otak tak tepu tapi kalau fikir lagi 3 hari nak start class... Hah! Itu menyebabkan otak tepu serta merta. Oh My Gucci pejam celik tinggal 3 hari cuti semester I. Time flies. Oh well. Sementara I masih dekat rumah ni kan. Baik I update la blog I ni selagi boleh. Kalau dah sampai Penang nanti haram I nak sentuh laptop I ni. Kalau sentuh pun sebab assignment, nak validate course atau layan Running Man. That's all.

So entri kali ni nak cerita pasal apa? Relationship.

DANG!!! Sebut je relationship semua dok pikiaq pasai couple masing masing. Apa ampa ingat ampa dengan mak ayah ampa tu bukan relationship ka? Relationship ni bukan dengan pasangan masing masing je. Parents and siblings tu pun relationship kita juga. Hubungan anak beranak dan adik beradik is the best relationships a person will ever had. I pun suka juga RT benda tu semua. Saja nak memeriahkan TL.

Zaman sekarang ni couple tu dah kira tradisi la. Bagi budak sekolah kira wajib la ada couple. I pun time high school dulu ada boyfriend juga. Cinta monyet la katakan. To be honest, for me benda tu mematangkan diri I la sebenarnya. Cehh. Tapi masa tu I belum fikir masa depan lagi. I mean bercinta masa sekolah ni semuanya nampak indah dan perfect. Lagi lagi pengaruh High School Musical kan? Sekarang ni movie banyak tayangkan pasal remaja bercinta dekat sekolah. Drama TV pun sama je dua kali lima sepuluh. Tapi hakikatnya in real life tidak seindah yang disangka. Jeng jeng jeng...

Ramai orang cakap kalau bercinta dekat Universiti ni most probably will end up with marriage. Untung sangat. Lagi lagi kalau both of them memang intelligent, I rasa anak anak diorang mesti pergh! UPSR 5A dapat kondominium. Tett! Trust me. I dah belajar banyak pasal Civil Engineering sebab masa Muiz exam I yang study untuk dia.

Nampak macam seronok je kan? Rasa macam lepas diploma ni nak kahwin je. Hah! You olls tak tau cerita lagi kalau gaduh. Kalau boleh tikam, rasa nak tikam 7 kali. Ni la masalah kalau dapat lelaki yang cemburu buta ni. Cemburu tu boleh sebenarnya. Tapi bukan cemburu buta. Tak semestinya kitorang ni ramai member lelaki, kitorang suka kat diorang. Tau korang jealous tapi kalau boleh dengar dulu penjelasan kitorang ni. Lagi satu. Tak payah la nak canang 1 dunia kalau gaduh tu. Kita dua je tau dah la. Semua benda boleh bawa bincang kan. To be honest, sesetengah perempuan ni, lagi lagi I, makin korang paksa makin I tak suka. Makin rasa nak memberontak. So solution dia, biar semua pihak bertenang dulu. Bincang elok elok. Bila pasangan awak dah minta maaf tu terima la. Dia betul betul dah menyesal tu. Perempuan kalau dah marah memang tak boleh kawal. Sebab tu talak hanya lelaki boleh jatuhkan. Kalau perempuan ada kuasa, memang bercerai berai la cerita dia.

I IS BACK!

Assalamualaikum and hello there bloggers sekalian. Oh My God lama gila I tak menggedik, mencarut, merepek etc. dekat blog ni kan. Like seriously lama gila. One thing for sure there's too many things happened to me in the past few months. But screw that cause I need to shout out loud I MISS MY BLOG!!! *virtual scream*

Well as you guys dah tau dah one whole semester I duduk rumah. What? Expelled? No! I buat my internship dekat Hyatt Regency Kinabalu for 4 freaking months! So kira satu semester ni I menepek dekat rumah tapi still I don't have the time to update my blog. Busy la katakan. Orang yang kerja hotel industry je will know how busy it is. Seriously my day off I penuhi dengan sleeping time je. But whatever it is my internship was successfully done. Dah keluar result dah pun. Alhamdulillah peningkatan from time to time. InsyaAllah akan graduate on time. Wish me luck!

Gambar time jadi intern dulu. Yang lain semua chef. Sebelah kiri I chef dari Hyatt Regency Bandung and sebelah kanan I kitchen apprentice :)

I did went to Penang last 2 months if I'm not mistaken. Balik for few days je pun sebab nak submit report internship and sit for final exam. Siapa kata student Culinary senang lenang tak payah duduk exam?! Hello! Kitorang ni dah la ada report yang panjang berjela tu, ada log book lagi pastu ada 1 paper lagi and ada practical exam lagi dekat kitchen. Hah! Senang apanya? Stress mak tau. Tapi as I said it was successfully done. Phew! Anyway. Next week I balik Penang dah. 23 November 2013.

Gambar time balik Penang untuk final exam haritu. Lepas rindu dengan classmates :)

So lepas je I habis internship 4 bulan tu and after my final exam in Penang, basically I stayed at home like a good girl do. As usual la kan dah duduk rumah memang baking la cerita dia. So untuk semester break kali ni I buat bisnes sikit. Berniaga kek. Don't laugh. Ini punca pendapatan I tau tak? Sangat puas hati sebab Alhamdulillah Allah bagi rezeki. Hasil jualan kek ni dapat juga shopping sikit. Beli baju, kasut, perfume Mariah Carey and body souffle Britney Spears. Wangi baq ang! Tak termasuk online shopping dan lain lain. Seriously boros gila time cuti kali ni. Haritu pegi KL shopping mak aihh... Abah sampai perli "Aik? Cukup dah ke? Tak nak tambah lagi?" setepek kat dahi.

Ini Snow Cheese Cake. Antara kek yang I jual time cuti ni :)

Last Saturday pula I hangout dengan sisters I. Seriously walaupun catch up sesh kitorang tak semeriah mana but for me it was still fun and memorable. BTW! Harini 13 November 2013 birthday kakak kesayangan I NOVADILLA!!! So birthday shoutout to my most wonderful sister from another mother and father Miss Novadilla! Happy 22nd Birthday sissy! I love you to the moon and earth back you know that. You know me more than anyone else does! Semoga dimurahkan rezeki, diberi kesihatan yang baik, mendapat kebahagiaan dalam hidup and semoga mendapat jodoh yang baik. AMIN!!!

Gambar ni time catch up sesh dengan my sisters. Love them to bits!

So tu je kot yang I nak share this time. Tengok la nanti kalau ada benda nak share lagi I akan share!

XOXO, ZHA.

Destiny ♥

"I HATE U!"  I screamed. A lone tear escaped and traced a lonely path down my pale cheek. My life was in shambles. He tried to hush me but failed. That was the last time I saw him.
"Do you think this is nice?", Julie asked me about her wedding gown. "Oh Dear! You look perfect", I smiled. Suddenly, Julie unexpectedly asked, "don't you want to get married Al?". My heart beat a thousand beats against my chest. "Well honey, I do believe in what we call destiny. When the time is right, I will get a husband", I answered cautiously, trying to hide my feelings.
It has been 5 years since we broke up, but I still remember his musky smell and his sweet voice. Sometimes I could feel his presence whenever I'm all alone. He was the first & will be my last guy I ever fell in love with. I was in cloud nine, until he dropped the bombshell, "I'm getting married with someone else".That was when my brain and my heart stopped functioning. I was speechless. My dreams went up in a puff of smoke.
"Oh no! I am so late!"  It was Julie's wedding day. I rushed to the cubicle in the ladies and get dressed as quick as I could. I grabbed my purse and sprinted towards my Volkswagen. Beads of perspiration formed on my forehead as I drove like a mad woman. Luckily I managed to get there on time. I can hear people talking, laughing and cheering for the newlyweds. I felt happy for dear Julie.
"Hey". my heart practically stopped. I will never forget that voice. "Hello", I replied. It is him. The old memories come flooding back. I pretended to be calm. Then, shoving his hands into his pocket, "I did not get married last time", he whispered. My jaw practically dropped. After 5 years of waiting he finally told me that. "Why now? After 5 years? What if I am dating someone else?", I asked cautiously. "It is because I Love You. After the occasion failed, I was offered to become a pilot. I agreed", he explained gently. "I know you will never find someone else. I trust & believe in you. When Julie told me that she's getting married today, I know I need to fixed everything. This is it!", he continued.
"Alexandria, would you marry me?", he kneeling down infront of everybody in the church. A sob escaped, then another, and another. Everybody waited with abated breath, hoping that I would say yes."Yes, I do!", I mouthed without thinking. In my daze, I heard people clapping and cheering for us. On that day, I realized that we had our own destiny. Julie ran towards me, "Congratulations Al! I am happy for both of you". That was the happiest day of my life.

p/s : my English essay for SPM 1st Trial Exam 2010 :) scored 47/50!

First Attempt

Assalamualaikum and hello hello pembaca blog sekalian. Ouch! Rasa lama tak update blog. Few days juga la kan? Well. Agak penat and setiap malam busy "on the phone" dengan Mr. Boyfriend. Rindu la katakan seminggu lebih tak jumpa. Hahaha. Okay. Whatever.

So. As usual la kalau I balik rumah time cuti dapur tu mesti gedegang gedegung. Ada la benda yang I akan buat. Untuk hilangkan bosan dan untuk menajamkan lagi skill I dalam bidang yang I ceburi ni. Lagipun dekat rumah satu family ni support apa yang I buat. Lagilah berkobar kobar nak cuba benda baru kan? Jadi. Beberapa hari yang lepas I decided to make durian crepe. Durian crepe ni degembar gemburkan sekarang ni. Boleh dikatakan trending juga la. I pun nak juga tau perasaan membuat durian crepe ni. Well basically takde la susah mana nak buat. Simple je. And my first attempt in making durian crepe was a success. Yay!

Atas permintaan an old friend of mine Nadz Jamil atau lebih dikenali sebagai "konco" di SMK Lok Yuk... *hahaha* So I akan post la recipe and cara membuat si durian crepe ni. I pun ambik kat internet je sebenarnye.

DURIAN CREPE / DURIAN PANCAKE
250 gm tepung gandum
3 biji telur
500 ml santan
1/2 sudu teh garam
1 sudu teh pandan emulco
1 sudu teh pewarna hijau

Satukan semua bahan di atas di dalam bekas
Kacau rata
Masukkan dalam blender dan kisar
Kemudian tapis

Sediakan kuali leper untuk membuat crepe yang tidak melekat
Panaskan hingga kuali benar-benar panas
Oleskan sedikit minyak pada kuali
Kemudian kecilkan api
Tuangkan satu senduk kecil ke dalam kuali dan masaklah adunan tadi hingga menjadi crepe
Adunan tak perlu di balikkan
Bila permukaan atasnya dah kering terus angkat
Buat sehingga habis
Biarkan sejuk.

Durian Filling
1 cawan Non dairy Whipping Cream
Isi durian secukupnya

Pukul Whipping Cream dalam mixer hingga kental
Pisahkan isi durian dari bijinya. Lumatkan sedikit
Bentangkan 1 keping crepe
Letakkan Whipping Cream di tengahnya
Letakkan isi durian
Tutupkan semula dengan Whipping Cream
Lipatlah crepe
Kemudian simpan dalam peti ais sebentar
Enak di hidangkan dingin.

So inilah hasil yang I dapat...

Selamat mencuba!

Random Feelings?

Assalamualaikum and hello korang! I know I know. Lama I menghilang kan? Okay. It was a very super long story so I malas nak cerita semua benda remeh yang I rasa tak penting untuk I selitkan dalam blog I. But benda penting yang I nak share is I'm HOME! Yes. Home as in HOME in Kota Kinabalu okay?! Reasons why I'm back was because I have an interview for my internship next semester and what else do you think? Of course la HOLIDAY! Chinese New Year break. Best feeling ever bila dapat balik rumah sendiri time holiday. Oh My Gucci!

Okay. Whatever it is. I have a huge story I wanna share. Well. Not exactly huge and for sure it is not that important. Not for you. Right?

Have you guys ever fell in love with two different person at the very same time? I know it sounds greedy but it really happen. There comes a time where your heart is at two places and your soul just don't have an idea where should it go. Some people just don't get the idea of loving two person at the same time because they just don't belong to the situation. And that kind of people who will always judge. I just don't understand why they have to judge.

Being stuck and not having the idea of what you should do is sucks. Really. It kills you and sometimes you just feel like jumping off the cliff and die. Screaming out loud seems to sound better I guess? Whatever it is. The problem is still there. Whether you jump or scream, you still have to face the truth. You can't run away from your problems. So face it. That's what I have done and it was a HUGE relieved. Believe me.

Honesty brings me to happiness. I told them the truth. Guts suddenly become my best friend. Yes. I have made the right decision. I am now happy with someone that never doubt with his love for me. He live his life for me. Though he had been through so many things when he's with me but he never gave up. I'm just so lucky to have someone who love and care for me that much. Be jelly. I love you sayang. It's been 4 months and 10 days. Looking forward for years now.

XOXO, ZHA.
